Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the serene French Alps, my recent stay at Logis Hotel Restaurant Le Domaine De L'Eau Vive was a retreat for the soul. The charming old silk mill converted into a hotel provided a unique backdrop for relaxation. The staff, though limited in English, were accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience each evening with a varied menu. The tranquil surroundings allowed for private pool time in the late afternoon, immersing in the calm waters of the nearby river, a hidden gem for unwinding. One of the highlights was strolling along the old canal path, leading to a picturesque waterfall, embracing the natural beauty of the area. Basking on the sun-soaked rocks and taking a dip in the pristine Roubreau river pools were rejuvenating experiences not to be missed. The spa services, including a solarium and outdoor swimming pool, added to the overall sense of relaxation. For those seeking a peaceful escape in nature, this secluded hotel offers a quiet haven, perfect for unwinding and recharging amidst the breathtaking French landscapes. A hidden treasure waiting to be explored.
